TOUR OVERVIEW
Same Day Agra Tour by Train
The “Same Day Agra Tour by Train” is a version of our “Same Day Agra Tour With Gatimaan Express, a fast train from Delhi to Agra, is a good option. This train takes around 1 hour 40 minutes to go between the two cities and is particularly suited for visitors who only want to spend a day in Agra.
The Gatimaan Express leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin Station in Delhi at 08:10 a.m. and arrives at Agra Cantonment Station at 09:50 a.m. From there, you’ll be guided by an experienced English-speaking Agra native for the remainder of the day, making sure you don’t miss any of the city’s hidden gems. Following the journey, we will return you to the railway station. Your train is scheduled to depart at 17:50.
Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is a symbol of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan’s eternal love for Mumtaz, his cherished wife. Without a doubt, it will be the first and most memorable feature of your trip to Agra. Throughout the journey, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore the white-marble mausoleum and take photos.
Agra has several historical landmarks and was the country’s capital until 1638, when Delhi took over. Following your Taj Mahal tour, you will have the opportunity to visit – depending on your interests:
Agra Fort:
Between 1565 and 1573, Mughal Emperor Akbar built Agra Fort, a historic stronghold composed of red sandstones that was completed in 95 years by four Mughal Emperors and served as the Mughal Emperors’ main residence for almost a century.
Itimad-ud-Daula Tomb:
Itimad-ud-Daula, often known as the “Baby Taj Mahal,” was built by Jahangir’s wife, Nur Jahan, for his father. It’s known as the “Baby Taj Mahal” because it’s said to have served as a model for the Taj Mahal, which was built later.
