TOUR OVERVIEW

The "Same Day Agra Tour by Train" is a version of our "Same Day Agra Tour With Gatimaan Express, a fast train from Delhi to Agra, is a good option. This train takes around 1 hour 40 minutes to go between the two cities and is particularly suited for visitors who only want to spend a day in Agra.

The Gatimaan Express leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin Station in Delhi at 08:10 a.m. and arrives at Agra Cantonment Station at 09:50 a.m. From there, you’ll be guided by an experienced English-speaking Agra native for the remainder of the day, making sure you don’t miss any of the city’s hidden gems. Following the journey, we will return you to the railway station. Your train is scheduled to depart at 17:50.

Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is a symbol of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan’s eternal love for Mumtaz, his cherished wife. Without a doubt, it will be the first and most memorable feature of your trip to Agra. Throughout the journey, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore the white-marble mausoleum and take photos.

Agra has several historical landmarks and was the country’s capital until 1638, when Delhi took over. Following your Taj Mahal tour, you will have the opportunity to visit – depending on your interests.

Agra Fort

Between 1565 and 1573, Mughal Emperor Akbar built Agra Fort, a historic stronghold composed of red sandstones that was completed in 95 years by four Mughal Emperors and served as the Mughal Emperors’ main residence for almost a century.

Itimad-ud-Daula Tomb:

Itimad-ud-Daula, often known as the “Baby Taj Mahal,” was built by Jahangir’s wife, Nur Jahan, for his father. It’s known as the “Baby Taj Mahal” because it’s said to have served as a model for the Taj Mahal, which was built later.

06:45 AM – FASTEST TRAIN FROM DELHI TO AGRA

Our driver will pick you up at 06:45 a.m. from any place in Delhi (hotel, airport, or other) and drop you off at the “Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station,” where you will board the “Gatimaan Express,” which departs at 08:10 a.m. This train takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes to go between the two cities and is suitable for individuals who only want to spend a day in Agra. On board the train, breakfast will be served.

REACH AGRA 09:50 AM

Our driver will meet you with a board with your name and the tour’s start time when you arrive at “Agra Cantt. Railway Station.” Our driver will take you to the Taj Mahal, where you will meet our experienced tour guide, an Agra native who will make sure you don’t miss any of the city’s hidden gems.

TAJ MAHAL – 10:15 A.M.

You will tour one of the most magnificent structures in the world, which was created in memory of the fifth Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan’s adored wife, Mumtaz Mahal, since “Mumtaz” was a term designed for the Empress that meant Most Beautiful and Perfect Lady, which she was in the Emperor’s eyes. Because of its breathtaking beauty and incredible architecture, the Taj Mahal is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Naturally, your vacation to Agra will begin with a visit to the Taj Mahal, which will be the highlight of your trip. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to photograph and view the white marble monument. (The Taj Mahal closes every Friday.)

Visit the cultural and traditional markets of the city.

Following your tour of the Taj Mahal, you’ll visit Agra’s famed cultural market, where you’ll be able to witness one-of-a-kind and traditional artwork. Following that, you’ll go to a restaurant and try some scrumptious Agra food.

LUNCH AT 01:15 PM

Lunch will be wonderful Mughlai, North Indian, or local Agra cuisine, depending on your preference. Following lunch, you will go on a tour of the Agra Fort.

GO TO AGRA FORT AT 02:10 PM

Agra Fort, commonly known as Red Fort, was a magnificent Mughal Emperor’s residence made of red sandstone (Lal Quila). The building of this beautiful fort began in 1565 under the third Mughal Emperor, “The Great Akbar,” and was completed by the sixth Mughal Emperor, “Alamgir Aurangzeb.” Emperor Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal, was imprisoned for the last eight years of his life in this fort, from where he could see the Taj Mahal. The Fort was designated as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE in 2007. After that, you’ll pay a visit to Itimad-ud-Daula.

03:30 PM – ITIMAD-UD-DAULA (BABY TAJ) VISIT

It’s time to see Itimad-ud-Daula, often known as the “Baby Taj Mahal.” Nur Jahan, the fourth Mughal Emperor Jahangir’s spouse, built this beautiful mausoleum in the manner of a jewellery box for her father. The monument is well-known for both its religious importance and its impressive architectural design.

DEPARTURE FROM AGRA AT 5:00 PM

Our driver will transport you to the Agra Cantt. Railway Station, from where you will depart with memorable Agra memories. Your train to Delhi will depart at 05:50 PM.

05:50 PM – RETURN TO DELHI

Dinner will be served on the return journey, and you’ll arrive at Delhi’s “Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station” around 7:30 p.m.

ARRIVE IN DELHI AT 07:30 PM

Our driver will meet you at Delhi’s “Hazrat Nizamuddin Station” and transport you to your hotel or the Delhi Airport.
